Onboarding & approval
From signup to approved listing in 5 steps. The links from your welcome email jump straight to the right section below.
1. Verify your email
After signup you'll get either a 6-digit code (current default) or a magic link in your inbox. Codes expire in 10 minutes; magic links last 24 hours. If you don't see the email within 5 minutes, check your spam folder — addingno-reply@dealsbanana.com to your contacts helps future emails land in your inbox.
If the verification expires, log in and request a fresh one from the verify screen.
2. Complete your profile
Your dashboard shows an Onboarding checklist at the top of the Settings page. It pulls a live list of what's still needed straight from our completeness checker — the same list admins see. When every item turns green, you're cleared to submit for approval.
The bar is intentionally simple:
- Restaurant name + address + phone
- At least one restaurant photo
- Business hours, so customers know when to come redeem
3. Validate your address
We auto-validate the address you enter against Google Maps to make sure customers can find you. If our lookup can't match your address (rare for established restaurants), try the closest landmark or shopping-center address — you can fine-tune the pin on the map afterwards.
DealsBanana operates nationwide — any US restaurant can sign up and go live today, no service-area waitlist.
4. Set your business hours
Open the Business Hours editor on Settings. Customers see your status (Open / Busy / Closed) auto-derived from these hours, and your coupons' redemption windows are checked against them where applicable.
5. Submit & get approved
When every checklist item is green, click Submit for approval. Approval is handled by an AI review agent and is typically near-instant — most legitimate restaurants clear in minutes, not days. A human only steps in on exceptions the agent escalates (incomplete info, potential fraud). You'll get an email either way:
- Approved — your listing goes live immediately and you can start publishing coupons.
- Needs more info — you'll get a specific list of what to fix, deep-linked to the right settings page. Make the fixes and submit again — no deadline.

Publishing coupons
How do I create a coupon?
From your dashboard, open Coupons → New. The fastest way is the one-prompt AI builder — describe the deal in plain words ("20% off any biryani on weeknights") and we draft the title, image, and terms for you to review and publish. Prefer more control? Pick from ready-made templates or build one field by field. Every plan can run percent-off, fixed-amount, and free-item coupons; higher tiers unlock BOGO, bundles, happy-hour, and more.
Can I restrict when or how a coupon is redeemed?
Yes — every coupon supports optional redemption conditions: specific days of the week, a time window, dine-in-only vs. takeout, a minimum spend, blackout dates, and a daily claim cap. These are machine-checked at the moment a customer redeems (in your restaurant's local time), so front-of-house staff never has to argue the fine print — the scan screen simply confirms whether that coupon is valid right now.
How does a customer actually redeem a coupon?
Customers claim coupons for free on DealsBanana and get a QR code. They show it to your staff in person; you scan it from your dashboard (or approve it manually if a scanner isn't handy) to confirm the redemption. The in-store sale — and the payment for it — stays entirely between you and the customer. DealsBanana is never in that payment flow.
Can I edit or pause a live coupon?
Yes, any time from Coupons → your listing. Pausing hides it from customers immediately without deleting it; editing a live coupon's terms sends the change to a quick re-check before it updates publicly.
Billing & subscription
How much does DealsBanana charge?
A flat monthly subscription for your plan — that's it. There's no per-order or per-redemption commission on any plan, ever; the in-store sale stays entirely yours. See Pricing & Plans for what's included at each tier.
How do I upgrade or change plans?
Settings → Subscription shows your current plan and any upgrades you're eligible for. Upgrading takes effect immediately; downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Reviews
Can I respond to a review?
Yes — open the review and click "Respond." Your response is public.
How do I report an unfair review?
Click "Flag" on the review with a reason. Our moderation team reviews flagged items within 24 hours. We remove reviews that violate our guidelines (off-topic, profane, demonstrably false).
