Meetup Terms
Booking a seat at a restaurant's event: tickets, cancelling and refunds.
These terms apply when you book a seat at an event hosted by a restaurant on DealsBanana (a "meetup"). They add to the Customer Agreement. DealsBanana is operated by Manviga LLC. The restaurant hosting the event (the "Host") runs the event and is responsible for the food, the venue and the evening itself.
1. Booking
- Events can be free, paid online (through Stripe, when you book) or paid at the venue. The event page shows the price per seat and what it includes.
- You can book 1 to 10 seats. Seats are held for a short time while you pay. If payment doesn't complete, they are released.
- Tickets go on sale until the event ends, unless the event page says otherwise or it sells out.
- Age. An event may set a minimum age. It is shown on the event page, you confirm it when booking, and the Host may check ID at the door and refuse entry if the age isn't met. Your account must belong to someone 18 or older.
2. Your pass
After booking you get a QR pass. The Host scans it at the door, once per seat. A screenshot shared with someone else is still one seat.
3. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel your own booking up to 48 hours before the event starts, from the event page. A paid ticket is refunded in full. After that, contact the Host directly.
- Minimum attendance. Some events need a minimum number of guests. If it isn't reached before the event starts, the event is cancelled and every paid ticket is refunded automatically.
- If the Host cancels, or a payment arrives after an event was cancelled, you are refunded automatically.
- Nothing can be cancelled once the event has started. Pay-at-venue bookings carry no charge, so there is nothing to refund, but please release your seat if you can't come.
- Card refunds usually take 5–10 business days. See the Refund Policy.
4. Waitlist
When an event is full you can join its waitlist by email. When a seat frees up, people on the waitlist are told. A waitlist place is not a booking.
5. At the event
- Be respectful to other guests and to the Host's staff. The Host may refuse entry to, or ask to leave, anyone who isn't. That isn't grounds for a refund.
- Allergies: tell the Host in advance. The Host is responsible for its food.
- Some events invite guests to share an introduction (for example a display name, what you're looking for, or dietary needs). It's optional, and it's shown only to the Host and, where the event says so, to other guests.
6. What the Host sees
The Host gets your name and number of seats, your intro answers if you gave them, and whether your pass was scanned. Hosts may download a guest list for the door. They must use it only to run the event.
7. Photos and reviews
After the event you may be invited to review it and share photos. If you post them, you give DealsBanana and the Host a licence to show them on DealsBanana and on the Host's and DealsBanana's social pages, as set out in the Customer Agreement. Don't post photos of other guests without their permission.
8. Contact
Questions about a booking: the event page, the Host, or Contact.
